This one from Cosmic Depths is the standout: a real look at an aerospike rocket engine autonomously generated by LEAP 71's Noyron computational engineering model — one of the more genuinely interesting developments happening at the intersection of generative design and aerospace right now.
Aerospikes are worth understanding on their own merits: unlike traditional bell nozzles, which are optimized for a single altitude, aerospike engines use the ambient atmosphere itself as one side of the nozzle. That means near-optimal expansion across the entire flight envelope, from sea level to vacuum. They've been theoretically superior for decades but manufacturing complexity has kept them mostly off real rockets.
That's what makes computational design plus additive manufacturing interesting here — the geometry that made aerospikes impractical to build by hand is exactly the kind of thing an algorithm can generate and a metal printer can produce. The video should give you a concrete sense of what "AI-designed hardware" actually means in a serious engineering context, as opposed to the hype version.
