Stone and countertop fabrication is one of the most water-intensive processes in the custom kitchen trade. Every cut, polish, and edge profile on a slab of granite, quartz, or marble requires a constant stream of water — both to cool the diamond tooling and to suppress the silica dust that would otherwise become a serious respiratory hazard. A single busy shop can easily push through hundreds of gallons a day.
