The Rigol DS1202Z-E is one of the most common entry-level benchtop scopes in hobbyist labs, and like every DSO it needs periodic self-calibration to keep vertical accuracy, offset, and timebase within spec. This tutorial walks through the procedure step by step on the actual instrument.

Self-calibration is a routine every scope owner should run — especially after a temperature swing, a long move, or when readings start looking suspicious — but the menu path is buried under Utility and the process is easy to interrupt if you don't know what to expect.
