Failure videos are underrated in the maker space. Everyone posts the glossy final reveal, but the genuinely educational content lives in the missteps — and this creator (all of two subscribers deep) is walking through two of them back-to-back: a botched first attempt at surfacing a CNC spoilboard, followed by a table saw kickback incident in the same session.

Spoilboard surfacing is the foundational first operation on any new CNC router — you skim the sacrificial MDF flat and true to the machine's own travel, so future cuts reference a plane that's actually coplanar with the gantry rather than the (usually not-quite-flat) factory board. It sounds trivial but it exposes every alignment problem a new machine has: rail sag, spindle tramming errors, insufficient hold-down, wrong stepover, chip evacuation issues.
