Of the ten postings, MetaMask (ID: 22670595) is the most revealing — not because it says the most, but because of what it deliberately doesn't say. A single role (Senior Mobile Engineer), fully remote, no stack listed, no team size, no compensation band. For a wallet sitting on top of "1 million+ users" of consumer crypto infrastructure, that terseness is itself the strategy.
1. Stack signals by omission. The posting names no languages, no frameworks, no cloud. For mobile, that almost certainly means React Native (consistent with their web extension's JS heritage) with native iOS/Android bridges for the cryptographic + secure-enclave work that can't live in JS. The ask for "strong depth of iOS and Android experience" — not "React Native experience" — implies the hard problems are in the native layer: key storage, biometric unlock, deep-linking into dApps, WalletConnect sessions. The JS bridge is the easy part.
2. Stage and direction. They explicitly frame 2019 as the year they "launched our mobile web browser and gained rapid traction" and are now hiring someone to "help lead technical development." Translation: the mobile app shipped, product-market fit is real, and the founding mobile engineer(s) are either overloaded or leaving. This is a scale-the-second-platform hire, not a zero-to-one hire. The phrase "engage and empower millions of more users" puts a 10x growth target on the table.
3. Skills and trends.
4. Flags.
